I’m Taylor
My name is Taylor Paden. I grew up in West Valley City and went to Hunter High School. I was raised in a mildly peculiar conservative family. My mother was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), and my father attended the Valley Assembly of God, but I was raised largely in the LDS church.
I was raised to believe in revolutionary values; values I was told were the foundation of our country, a testament to our resistance against tyranny. I had been taught that if you worked hard enough, you would get what you deserved here.
I’ve always believed that you should be familiar with all sides of an issue. In my youth, I largely identified as a libertarian, but in my early 20s, I decided to explore new perspectives. I looked into what the Left had to say, and I was shocked to discover a set of principles that reflected the very values I had been chasing. But this was more than just resistance against tyranny, more than an American myth. It was a set of revolutionary values that worked for everyone. Created for all working people, by working people. Ever since that moment, I have dedicated myself to my community and everyone in it. That’s what makes Utah so great to live in
Now, I’m trying to build a movement. A movement of working people fighting for a better Utah. A Utah for all of us, not just religious leaders and the tech moguls. A Utah that values workers, those who uphold the spirit of industry that makes us the Beehive State. A Utah that families can afford to live in. A Utah free from ICE violence. A Utah that believes this is the place for everyone.
Join me in the fight for an economy for all, safer communities, and working families across our state by voting for me, Taylor Paden, for Utah Senate in the Democratic primary on June 23. Because I believe that when we fight, we win.
Do I take any corporate money?
Nope! This campaign is 100% grassroots funded. Taylor will never take money from real estate developers or corporate landlords. Join our movement to improve Salt Lake City and make a donation today!
When is the election?
The primary for this election is on June 23, 2026.
